Operation Roti: Roti Kosong.. lol..

So Friday came.. Operation Roti!!!

So i got ready. I was really very early this time. I was like half an hour early. I brought my friggin tall 12 ft rod... and my one piece 6ft rod for my BC reel and a Shakespeare Connoisseur with my Shimano SHIP Aperto XT 1000...

So i went to the bus stop to catch my bus to go to Bedok where i was supposed to meet Vin and Gary at around 5pm. It was going to be an overnight trip.

So i got on the crowded bus right. My rod was so tall that i had to put it in at an angle. There was absolutely no space. Nobody wanted to move in.. And there were so many people coming down from the top deck of the bus, that i had no choice but to stand right in front of the exit.

So i knew that the stop at Eastpoint would definitely see more passengers alighting.. So i patiently waited till then to get my chance to move further into the bus.

So the stop came, and i tried to make myself as miniscule as possible. As expected, it turned out that I was blocking the path for some people. Nobody made any noise or sound except for maybe some polite "excuse me"s.

Then comes this 40-50 year old fucker who was standing right behind me since the time I got on the bus, he makes this loud "tsk tsk" noise and proceeds to shove me out of the way and alight from the bus.

So i said back loudly...
"No other space to go right?"

KNN.. His head immediately turned man.. He was spoiling for a fight right from the start. KNN.. Then he got off the bus and said in Mandarin, "lai! lai!" which means "come here"...

KNN... I was so fucking pissed off by that asshole that i shouted back, in the bus, "You come back in here lah!"

Then he was like so shocked that he like just stopped everything.. haha.. His hands stopped waving for me to come out and he stopped talking.. Then to top it off, the bus began to move away and the doors closed.. haha.. Talk about timing man...

The best part of it all was, as he stopped waving his arms and all, i noticed another woman standing behind him with sad eyes. Probably his wife who knows that that fucker thinks he a fucking big shot..

Dumbass...

So i finally reached Bedok Interchange, about half an hour earlier that my planned meeting time. SMSed Gary to find out if he was there yet... Turned out he was... So met him at the benches there and found out he was just about to buy some torchlights for our trip later...

So we went to meet Cateye who, as usual, was late.. haha.. lol... He sold gary his torch and then we went to meet Vin who looked a bit irked that we were late... haha..

So Vin picked us up from in front of the Bedok MRT Station and drove us to the carpark about 1 kilometre away by car, also in Bedok.. haha.

We went to eat at some coffee shop in Bedok Central with Gary going to look in at some friendly neighbourhood shops.

Then Vin told us about a posible division between Lorry Gang for our fishing spots that nite due to the integrity of a certain secret spot wanting to be preseved by some members.

BirdmanSim wasn't with us again. Citing some work commitments.

Anywayz.. We met each other at Sincere Tackle. I bot some weights, they bot some bait. And pretty soon, we were off to recce our first spot, suggested by Weiyee..

We went. We saw. We disapproved. lol.

Oldman was mentioning that it was still too early to go to HIS spot so weiyee suggested that we go recce another one of his spots..

So we reached this very nice place that was a shipyard, but other than that, fishing was a no no there. There were no rod stands. No railings. No soil at the edge of the road which was next to the water with which to stick our rod holders.

So after chit chatting about this spot and our upcoming boat trip, we left this place for our secret spot...

We all unpacked our heavy gear, and Ice was left to carry the heavy container full of hot water, for our coffee while i carried his fishing rod.

The supposed spot required us to trek across barren dessert with patches of grass, not unlike the tiberium in the game Tiberian Sun.

It took us a good 20++ minutes with full gear and all to reach the spot only to find out that that was the wrong spot. So me and Calvin went in search of the "real" spot. It took us some while to find the spot. Then we had to walk back all over again to retrieve our stuff and lead our fellow Lorry Gang members back to that spot... Si beh tiring sia.. haha...

So we tried that spot and got a few good bites. I even had a hook up but my rod was so damn far away and the terrain so dangerous that by the time i got there, it was too late.

Unfortunately, that spot was also a sangkut heaven(where your hooks or sinkers get stuck in between rocks). When VIN caught an eel, we knew that spot was dead for the time being. So we shifted to another spot that Calvin and I had seen earlier, this damn sweet lagoon.

We casted.. and waited... We all knew it was doubtful we'd catch anything.. Esp at that period of time. The water was shallow, the seabed was virtually empty.. No rocks or anything for fish to hide in. I started playing withmy casting my multiplier.. I casted it out. I reeled it back in. And i kept that up for a while.. haha..

Me and Vin each got a small Gurama near the end of our escapade but that was it...

We called it a day soon after i caught my Gurama and Vin dropped me off at the Bedok MRT station at approximately 7 in the morning.

I slept pretty soundly after that.. haha..

As i complete this post, one week after the fact, i am actually at home, because my family and I decided to stay at home for tonight, instead of at the chalet that we have booked.

Other stuff did happen throut the week like this super cute girl that was in the train. She had about her this look of a Singaporean version of the character Sara, in the US Comedy show, Joey. Damn hot and cute.. haha..

Then there was the event of where you know those digital watches can actually reflect sunlight like a mirror? haha.. well, I was busy reflecting sunlight into this sleeping guy's eyes on the MRT.. haha..

But the simple fact is, anything else that happened doesn't mean shit to me now compared to what I'm gonna include in my next post. It all started on the day that my family was about to occupy the chalet we were renting. Make no mistake though, it's got nothing to do with the chlet itself, but with that day. Chilling.

Cheers.

Lolly Chia Lolly Chia.. lol..

So I went to the BJT(Bedok Jetty) gathering for Fishing Kaki people yesterday nite(Overnight fishing. 5pm to 9am). I'm a Premium Kaki u know? haha..

I met a number of people who I've talked online with but have never met in person before. This included Edmund who apologised for the misunderstanding that we had last time. I did likewise.

Without further ado, i set up my rod at the inner part of the left most jetty. My favourite spot had already been taken up you see.. haha

Things happened that weren't worth mentioning, etc......

We had our dinner which was cooked by Edmund's mom. It was nice. haha..

The night wasn't going as well as i had hoped in terms of fishing and some of the other Lorry Gang Members were already contemplating going to another spot in Punggol

Gary, Ice and me then went to the toilet while talking all about ghosts and fishing.. haha..
When we came back, we found out that Melvin had caught a fish. A medium large sized KimBakLor, or Barramundi. And by medium large i reference the size that the KBL can grow to.. It was slightly less than 2 feet long. That's big man.

We changed our minds about moving to Punggol that instant.. haha..

About 2-3 hours later, i caught one Ah Seng.(A type of catfish) The wind was blowing as you would expect for it to blow at the sea. Some people tot it was cold, but i didn't.. haha.. I was "hardened" up by my trip to Genting with absolutely no jacket.

Ok... that sounded very wrong... :p

Most of us went to sleep becuz it didn't really look like a good fishing night.

I too, went to sleep albeit with much discomfort. First i tried sleeping on the floor, with my back resting against one of the benches there.

Whenever i go to sleep tense(knowing that I'm outside of my house and can, oh, say fall of the side of the friggin jetty.. lol), I always wake up with some degree of a headache. For you geeks, it means if i sleep a light sleep, longer than i normally would, I get a headache.

When that became apparently un-sleep-worthy, i sat on the bench and went to sleep. Imagine me sitting up straight and sleeping.. And somehow or other, i did manage to go to sleep. haha... That was a BIG mistake.. My head hurt even more now.. haha..

I decided to walk around a bit. I fiddled with my fishing rod. That's when this strong wind began to blow. Imagine your face in front of your house fan at speed 3 plus a little bit more. This wind was cold and was blowing over my whole body. The best part was that this wind just started all of a sudden and didn't die down or anything.

At first it was all quiet save for the wind. Everybody from me to the guys sleeping in their hammocks were all in sensory overload. Many of them were also only half awake.

Think of this. Heavy fishing rods were being blown down. A tin container(the kind that you get your fishballs in when you cater food), with food inside, was blown away. Not blown down!!! Blown AWAY!!! Actually, it was 2 containers.

Some of the guys began to pack up their stuff. I did too.. Then the rain came.

At first, it was a soft pitter patter. But within a few seconds, it was like a mini-Katrina, with all due respect to those involved in the real thing. All of us rushed to this small little shelter that someone had concocted by tying a ground mat to the railings on the jetty. I was one of the last so i got stuck with holding the the damn thing down so that the raffia used to tie the sucker down, wouldn't brake. And in the middle were all the adults... lol.

Then there was Jack, one of the mods right in the middle, sleeping away in the safety of his black trash bag, completely covered by it. lol.

Learning from my previous boat trip, I DIDN't go out and fish while it was raining. Not this time. This time, it wasn't that likely that i would even catch a fish in that weather. Not like the other time on the boat.

Since almost everyone else was getting wet, with me probably being one of the wettest, someone decided that Jack should also be involved in this brotherhood of sorts. haha.. So they cut a hole in the trash bag, and then poured in some HL Banana Milk.. wahaha.. It took a while, but the curses soon began to start as everyone else started laughing and Jack poked his fingers around the bag, searching for the hole.

Then almost as suddenly as the run had started, it stopped. Everyone else got out from under that shelter quickly as our legs were killing us. In fact, i had been squatting on my foot at such an angle that the bottom part of my sandal, broke off from the main part of the sandal.

Some of us wanted to stay on as supposedly, the fishing after that kind of weather was supposed to be good. I however, decided to leave. As i was packing up, i saw this "wall" of water about a kilometre away from us. It was bad. lol.

Those of us who had decided to leave, begun to pack up even more hurriedly. We quickly walked to the nearest shelter we could find but we were too late. We were drenched. Thankfully though, there wasn't as much wind as earlier.

We, Alex, Gary, Nigel and me, waited out the rain, then we walked all the way back to the lagoon food centre, while facing some pretty cold wind.

We thought of having a coffee, but the shop owner said that the water would take some time to be boiled so we called it a day and shared a cab home.

Other stuff that's been happening.
Games: I've begun to create maps for Command and Conquer Generals. And I've been playing that game again as of late.. haha..
Lorry Gang: Operation Roti is this Friday.
And i created this logo for our gang(Click on image for actual size).

Gary created one too. In fact, i didn't want to release this one as i tot it would make Gary's work look like it meant nothing to me. But you know Icebomb.. lol..

But more importantly. OPERATION ROTI THIS FRIDAY!!! WOOHOOO!!! haha.... I can't wait..!!! Will be testing out my new torchlights. These torchlights are damn bright let me tell you.. haha.. More to come..

METHLABS.ORG and BLOCKLIST.ORG ARE COMPROMISED

METHLABS.ORG and BLOCKLIST.ORG HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED.
I SAY AGAIN. THEY HAVE BEEN COMPROMISED.

EXCERPT...

Methlabs.org and PeerGuardian developers in exile

The majority of the Methlabs.org administration and development team have been forced out of their website following a series of threats and incidents. The member of the group that had been trusted to handle the finances and servers slowly managed to take over each individual part of the website's assets, eventually claiming control over the entire group and locking out the majority of staff.

The organisation's founders, Tim Leonard and Ken McKelland, as well as the majority of the organisation's staff and developers (including the main developer of the PeerGuardian2 application, Cory Nelson and the staff members responsible for auditing the PeerGuardian Blocklists) have all been forcibly removed from the servers that were funded from donations given to the organisation by happy users, and from text advertising placed on the websites forum and project pages.

The money, which was to have been used to help fund the development and hosting costs of the group is now unavailable, stolen by the one who was trusted to keep it.

Development of PeerGuardian will resume, and the website will temporarily move to http://peerguardian.sf.net/ until a new domain is registered and a new server found. The intention of the group is to register a non-profit organisation to handle the development of Methlabs applications and to promote open source projects that aid both security, privacy and peer-to-peer technologies, in order to prevent a repeat of this incident.

The team wish all their users the best through this difficult time, but promise that development will continue. Please visit http://peerguardian.sf.net/ for news as we make progress. All other sites, including http://methlabs.org and http://blocklist.org, are under control of the rogue member and should not be trusted for safe updates to our applications or lists.

A new build of PeerGuardian will be released soon to reflect these changes. Until then we ask you to continue using Beta 6a but with caution as the list update servers are no longer under our control and may be unsafe.

All staff are available in irc.freenode.net, channel #methlabs if you wish to chat.

Thanks,
The Methlabs Staff (looking for a new home),

Small FK Gathering.

So I'll be fishing with some people from the FishingKaki forum tmr. Will be fishing at Bedok Jetty. I haven't been there for a while now. The last time i was there, i had some pretty good results with sandworms. Think Chermin!! lol.

So first thing tmr I'll be meeting Nigel and this guy named Fukeong to go to beach road to sign up for Premium Kaki and for Nigel to get his reel re-spooled. Gary changed his mind cuz he wanted to spend some time with his wife. I didn't even know that he was going to join us tmr actually.. haha.. I couldn't get my email u see. haha.. Anywayz, he called me up today just to let me know. That's when i learnt of his new rig!! haha.. He's a pretty technical guy I'll give u that.. haha..

I remember back when i used to do that. Make really technical rigs that is. I very rarely came back with fish though. haha.. Blame it on the timing or watever, but needless to say, i rarely do that nowadays. haha..

About the PremiumKaki membership, to be honest, the goodie bag was what got me.. haha.. Although i'll probably won't even make it in time to collect 'em before they run out.

And there's the little thing about TPFC(Temasek Poly Fishing Club). If you ask me, those guys are pushing a little too hard for members with nothing to offer. Combine combine. It's a bit too much if u ask me even though it's sorta understandable. Nevertheless, i explained my position cuz numerous people kept making me and Ice the topic of conversation about how we would supposedly get "torn apart" when deciding which fishing group we would go with in the event that both "clubs" had fishing events on the same day. You see, I'm also a part of another fishing group, "The Lorry Gang". They're basically a extremely fun bunch of guys and one of them owns a Lorry. Go figure.

I know I probably shouldn't be dissing my own club this way but i just wanna make it clear that all these supposed incidents that are bound to occur, never will. Good intentions or not, I tot i might take my friendly post and post it here..

Well, I think i might just have a little say now since that Ice has sorta brought me in...

Quite frankly, I'll go and fish with the people that i had made plans first. It's as simple as that. I don't mean to cause any disrespect or seem rude to anyone but that's how i feel.

If there are other mitigating cursumstances, then i may reconsider.

Other than that, it's quite simple. If i made plans with one side means i'm busy and if I'm busy means i can't attend the other side's event, IF the event falls on the same day.

Tightlines to everyone. I hope we all can catch some really good fish tmr. And even if we don't, i hope we can all be friends. Very Happy

Cheers.

That's when Vin gave me his cheers(see below).. haha..
Super Applause

Oddly enough, i didn't get anything from TPFC. lol..

Truth be told, i haven't fished with TPFC at all. To the best of my knowledge, they've had only one fishing event
since their inception and that was a Kelong fishing trip. Kelong fishing isn't for me rite now. I mean, i didn't pay to get into a club just to pay to go fish somewhere else.

The Lorry gang on the other hand(which is free btw), i've fished with once before and we all had a really great time. I've also fished with about half of the Lorry Gang people before but not in the name of the Lorry Gang.

Icebomb was really the one who combined us from Vin's car outing into this big Lorry Gang when we went on a very enjoyable boat trip. The catch wasn't really great on that boat trip but for some reason, everybody seemed to enjoy it. Mainly because of the company.

I originally met Vin, Gary, and BirdmanSim because Icebomb invited me for some fishing. And i had met Icebomb thru our first TPFC outing. In fact, i probably wouldn't have even met them because i actually had a class at Informatics that day. But the class was cancelled.

Then i met the original Lorry Gang, because Icebomb had backed me into a corner to book a boat trip, which i gotta thank him for though. If it wasn't for him, I probably wouldn't have even gone on that boat trip. I'm more or less lazy u see.. :p But his enthusiasm got to me. Then for some reason, everyone enjoyed at that boat trip themselves so much that we got absorbed into the Lorry Gang. It was also because of Ice's enthusiasm.. :D

Weiyee and Hellgeese who were also on that boat trip, would've been included in this Lorry Gang too but they sorta disappeared from the forums soon after that boat trip. lol. A hiatus probably. :D

Anwayz, gotta prepare for tmr. Good nite, and Cheers! :D

??--??

Between Wei Zhen's stoned-faced BF(:p), her new found use of the word arse, and Ranjan's pink motif blog, something tells me that time is passing too fast. You now may probably want to ask me what the hell did all that have to do with time passing so fast? Then I'd say, "I don't have a fucking clue." and I'd chuckle to myself while digging my nose with my middle finger.

Now you probably have another question. What got my "groove" back on to type like that? Well i won't say anything but you may notice that my middle finger may have displaced itself from the region of my nose and moved to the region of your face.... And then I'd chuckle to myself again and laugh like a mad man(I gotta diffuse the tension rite? haha).

Today's IWED interview went rather well if not fast. I woke up groggily from my beauty sleep... Okay, not BEAUTY sleep, just sleep. Nonetheless, i got up from it thinking i was going for this all important thing. I mean sure, it's important to know that we actually were the ones who did the work but i mean, c'mon. Humour us man. Make the interview seem more official. Make it last longer. Make it feel more important.

I mean look around you ppl. Everyone is rushing for time. If we all just slowed down together, no one would know the difference. I mean, c'mon. Look at WeiZhen's blog. It's practically in point form. It's like a secondary school English Summary only that it's way, way more summarised.

Look at Sebastian's blog title? You can tell that he's pressed for time because he's on the run. I know that Weili will probably be ripping of Sebastian's link from me now and adding it to his blog. That is.. if he still reads this oh-so-boring blog. :D

Everybody's on the run. Everybody's got deadlines, is giving deadlines, and has missed 'em.

What the world needs is to just chill out and go for some fishing.

Boobulah!!

I helped Sebastian and Ranjan with a helluva shit load of coding.. haha.. I don't think they told Lee Kong Sing though...

Weizhen was making noise about me not blogging again.. haha.. I tease her with the phrases she uses on her blog. She teases me about my posting frequency. haha... The only thing is she didn't give me an award for that!! lol.

Then there's the stuff with Kai. He didn't come to school yesterday to do our CANI. He didn't come today either. Someone must've told him about me getting a little bit agitated though cuz he called me as i was coming home today and apologised. Then he dropped a bomb on me by telling me someone in his family had passed away. I was like, "Dude! I'm so sorry!". I didn't really catch who it was that had passed but i didn't want to ask again anyway.

Life is short people. If you get the chance to tell someone you love just how much you do, go ahead if you know it won't cause any complications.

Also, a certain communist arsehole that I've talked about before seems to be coming back to life. I shall be monitoring the situation. haha.. No lah. Just kidding!! Screw him.. I just wanna fish my life away. Maybe that dream will come true one of these days, perhaps maybe even with someone who i can share it with.

p.s. Did you know that the spellcheck feature that comes with this blog doesn't recognise the word "blog"? lol.

Cheers.

Belgian Grand Prix

Was watching F1 the other day. It was fucking brilliant. :D

Narain Khartikeyan had a pass on the grass and then a fair in the air. Lol.
Picture this, a flying F1 car. In case you don't know, the suspension in an F1 car isn't for comfort. It isn't like normal saloon cars. The suspension here is stiff man.... haha... The best part was, that his Jordan actually overtook a Sauber.. haha.. Again, in case you don't know, Jordan isn't exactly the best team around. At least not on the winding tracks.

In fact, every single car that used the bridgestone tyres that day performed far better than they used too. At least with the wet weather tyres and the intermediate weather tyres. Bridgestone tyres are definitely the best as you can see...

The sheer increase in the performance in the cars that used the bridgestone tyres when they changed to the intermediate and wet weather tyres was simply amazing.

Ralf shumacher went in once to change back to dry weather tyres and then skid twice and then went back in to change back to the intermediate tyres. haha..

Barichello was flying in his ferrari and also didn't change his tyres at the last pit stop, even though his tyres sort of looked worn out. Nonetheless, he was doing very well.

Then all of a sudden, Michael Schumacher, who was in a strong 5th place, got T-Boned by Takuma Sato. Sato apparently was tailgating Schumie but braked too late and knocked both of them out of the race. Schumacher, being frustrated at being "knocked" out by other drivers for so many races this season, got up and had a word with Sato and gave him a light pat on the helmet. If it weren't for that accident, i think Schumie could've gotten a podium finish. Sato did look remorseful though.

That Belgian race track is one of the best throughout the whole season and is also definitely the most beautiful.

Also during the race, as always at this track, some of the guys had some very high impact crashes, but thanks to the safety measures implemented in the sport, none of them were hurt. Jarno Trulli and Giancarlo Fisichella both hit the barriers surrounding the track at speeds of more than 100 KPH!!

Then of course Montoya was "knocked" out of the race by Pizzonia, the super sub. Twice have McLaren's hopes of a 1-2 win been dashed, the first time when Montoya skidded himself of another track a few weeks back and now when he was knocked out by Pizzonia. It's been a very very long while since McLaren have had a 1-2 podium finish.

Well, all i can say is I can't wait for next year. 24valve engines are going to be introduced and the Jordan's will be getting Ferrari engines.

In fact, the Jordan's already have begun to look promising what with their new stage-b chassis.

And at the end of the race, Jenson Button was 3.6 seconds behind Alonso to take the third place. Barichello finished in 5th place so I wonder how much better Schumie could have done, no offense to Barichello of course. And a Jordan, driven by Tiego Monteiro, was the last in the points. Which was fucking brilliant if you ask me.. haha.

Ralf Schumacher also took superb last minute charge at villneueve but was 1.6 seonds short and finished behind him.

Earth Google

Being that i've been so busy, all i can remember of my "Si Beh Fun Fishin Trip" is that it was Si Beh Fun.. haha.. paiseh.. :p

I finished my CHFI Course today and i feel confident of doing well in the exam. In fact, i had a free taxi ride from Jurong to my home today because my CHFI teacher for lives in tampines. In fact, while browsing the web today, i came across this. Firefox death. My mind immediately go to thinking.. haha.. I shant' say more...

We had a mock test today and i got 93% while the only other guy in my class got 94%. If you haven't guessed it by now, this class apparently was very small.. lol. The two other ladies in my class both got 91%. I'd like to now point out that Men are smarter than women! Don't believe me? Click here.

I came home, oddly enough, at the same time that it would have reached home if i had taken the train. I turned on the TV and i saw Christmas Island again. Time and time again i find myself asking nobody in particular, "Why the *expletive* this we give up Christmas Island?"

I mean, c'mon. Even our money minded government should know that tourism is one of the big industries right? So i ask myself, which fuckwit decided to sell it off to the Aussies?(Got this info from my old history teacher) Then i begin to think of Devan Nair and all the stories by teacher used to tell me. That piss-drunk fuckwit for a president better not have been the one who sold the damn island off cuz if he was, then he'll find yet another country that he's been exiled from. Admittedly, the Singapore Gahmen will probably officially "exile" me too, but will also probably unofficially set me up for life in Cuba with lotsa cash for whooping Nair's ass.

On my projects, I'm about to finish IWED. I'm pretty sure that I'll get good marks simply because of the security that I've implemented. I'm sure as the sun is orange that everybody else's websites are vulnerable to SQL injections... Mr mischief, here i come! lol.

I'm about to finish CANI too. Let's just say that my partner, Kai, got the easy work. That doesn't mean that i didn't procrastinate though. lol.

Heard of augfreesen? If you haven't, look at my second last post. Josephine was laughing her ass off at the augfressen thingy after they pleaded to be able to see it during our VIDP Lecture. eeww!!! She mentioned something about fishballs and then continued to laugh uncontrallably. All i can say is, DUDE!!! lol..

Updated ranjan's new link, and removed Shu Hui's link becuz some people oni noe how to talk thru blogs. Cowardly pissfucks. Wasn't talking about Shu Hui btw... or Ranjan either.

All i can say about Ranjan's new blog host and his blog design is, "pinks not a good colour for you bro". lol.

I'm also gonna reupload all my music files to a new host... the other one's fucked up..
"Some of your files may go missing in this period of upgrading" they said. Bloody pissheads.

There's also this great program called Google Earth and can be found at earth.google.com
It's like a satellite view of the whole world and you can zoom in with reasonable clarity. Search for Singapore and you'll be amazed. These static images are updated about every 1-3 years though so...

Cheers and Tightlines.

Logitech Cordless Internet Pro Desktop Black

It's a wireless keyboard and optical mouse set.
IMO, this piece of hardware sucks beyond comparison.

Let me point out the major details.

If you release pressure on a key, making it go up even a millimetre, it's considered lifting the key up totally. Now i have no problem with that but... With my old keyboard, the point in time where the key would no longer be considered as being pressed was also the time when the key would begin to pop back up.

The mouse is also very hard to configure and it was only by some dumb stroke of luck that i did manage to. At the beginning, changing any setting for the mouse like pointer motion and etc couldn't be done. What i'm saying is if i moved the slider to adjust the motion, the minute i let go, the damn thing went back to it's original position.

I only managed to "fix" it by resynchronizing the device with my computer and then not allowing the Logitech software to "set-up" the device accordingly. The Logitech software still controls the mouse settings though but now i'm using the wireless optical mouse generically.

The maximum mouse motion speed is less than half of what i used to have with my old trackball wired mouse. So now I'm stuck with having to use acceleration to compensate for the slowness of the cursor. I hate acceleration.

There's no caps lock light. It uses the on screen display of "CAPs lock is on" which for some reason makes the screen refresh very slowly and that seriously screws up any game that i'm playing. Not too mention any 3d display that i am using for modelling.

[edited]
You also can't press more than 2 keys at a time. or at least that's what i got. When playing CS, if i press "W and D" or "W and A", i can't press any of the number keys except "1". So i can't change my fucking weapon while running. Talk about being screwed.
[/edited]

-----------
These are my own personal and probably "spoilt" gripes but nonetheless are still valid. lol.

The back end of the mouse is way to big for me. The part where your palm normally rests on a mouse is very high.

No "next/previous" button for media. They already have a "Media(start program)" and "play/pause" button here. You'd think that they'd know that most people would normally use these keys to control their music while working in another window.

The button that say "WWW" shows no WWW when pressed. My solution was to customise it to open up my browser manually by linking it with the executable.

Only three "extra" buttons are customisable. (Heard all of them are customisable in later versions of the program though). The favourites button, Email, and WWW . The rest, Media, Play/Pause, Mute and volume, aren't.

For me, even as a semi-designer, i still prefer the trackball mouse. it's a WhereYouMoveIsWhereYouGo kind of thing. It's got no frills and does what you want it to.

This set retails at $59 at comex. Regardless of it's price, Logitech shouldn't be coming out with keyboard of this standard.
