Matchbox cartons.

Is it just me or is XiaXue's posts getting more and more self-righteous. She seems to be generalising Christians(and other groups, no necessarily religious ones) into one big group. I feel her continual defensive stance has led her to start going on the offensive on an entire groups of people.

Her posts get more and more vulgar as the days pass. Her apparent attitude has seemed to change ever since she gained recognition for her blog. She has long since begun to use her blog as a virtual, socio-political podium. It greatly irks me that many people still seem to support her even though some of them don't even believe in what she has been saying.

So i posted the following as one of the comments.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I think this has gone too far. Stop generalising. you may argue that you don't, but by putting up posts that highlight an attribute of a person that is common to a group of people, it can be considered as generalising.

The title of your last blog entry, "Christians, your friend ah this one?", is in itself an example of needless generalisation. Your posts have become more and more hostile against, it would seem, those that have the ability(potential or otherwise) to discredit you or harm your reputation.

Your posts used to be interesting and thought-provoking albeit mildly controversial at times. But as i read more and more of your posts, there exists a great and incessant voice in my head that draws me to the only logical conclusion that remains. That is, you have become more aware of the pedestal that you have been raised unto, and have seen the oppurtunity and potential value of this blog as a successful, virtual, socio-political podium, and have since used it as such.

Poking holes in your's "adversary's" statements is a useful tactic in destroying one's credibility. But the endless use of it leads one to believe that you do not have anything substantial that will actually truly back your stance. All it shows is that you are good at exploiting people's weaknesses. It does not indicate in any way your, righteousness, for lack of a different word.

A good writer, whether or not his/her readers agree or disagree with his opinions, does not have to resort to the above mentioned tactics just to "remain socio-politically stable".

Free speech, but not till the point that we endorse slander.

Sincerely,
Fusionate.

Such texts clearly indicate a "personal" attack against such people. While this may not be as bad as it would seem, or perhaps even acceptable if it were a personal blog, the veracity is that it is not and in fact has since had the potential of it being a socio-political blog greatly increase, and she knows that and is using it exactly as such.

FusionStream, out.

I absolutely agree with you and someone should seriously put a stop to her blog. I can't believe she actually has the cheek to raise up such a sensitive issue and people are supporting her for it. So much for being highly intelligent.
